Hold license as aPhysical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work Maintain and update PTskills and certifications as necessaryEvaluate and treatpatients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programsUtilize ElectronicMedical Record to complete evaluations reports and discharge summaries forpatient filesGuide amp monitorpatient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-upSupervise PT Assistantsand Aides regarding all aspects of patient careCommunicate withphysicians and other persons to insure quality patient careCorrespond withco-workers amp other offices via phone fax amp emailBe responsible foraccurate patient chart documentation amp follow-up re: prescriptions testresults authorizations etc.Make sure patients arecomfortable and answer questions when necessary.Work closely with thefront office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up.Have computer skillsnecessary to complete job requirements i.e. typing Word Internet EMR etc.Be able to makeindependent decisions regarding patient careBe involved in thebusiness marketing amp referral process when necessary Be responsible forfollowing HIPAA policy amp procedureBe familiar with PTbilling policy amp procedure re: Medicare work-comp private auto lienscash pay etc. Be proficient in DX andICD-10 coding for the billing of servicesBe able to be physicalmobile including a combination of stool sitting walking and prolonged standingfor 8-10 hour work days based on patient care schedule.Be able to lift 50pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints assist patientswith transferring and providing stand by assistance and recovery with patientwalking safety.Supervisory ResponsibilityThisposition supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patientcare. Work EnvironmentThisposition works in the patient physical therapy clinic anoutpatient/rehabilitation setting. Job Responsibilities Relatedto Patient Privacy --- Expected to protect theprivacy of all patient information in accordance with the Company's privacypolicies procedures and practices as required by federal and state law andin accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health careprovider.
