  • Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced PICU nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, PALS and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • MINIMUM 2 years PICU experience.
    • Use medfusion pumps.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 7a, 7p.
      • Every other weekend requirement.
      • Holidays: 2 out of 3.
      • Call: If census low and scheduled, may be asked to be on standby.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Charge Nurse: Rarely.
        • Nurse Aides: None.
        • Weekend Requirement: Every other.
        • Holidays: 2 out of 3.
        • Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
        • Tele: Spacelab tele monitors, nurses must read own strips.
        • Vents: Yes.
        • Peds Hospitalist Intensivist in house: Yes, in house 24/7.
        • IV Team: None.
        • RT 24/7: Yes.
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.
        • Floating: general peds and burn.
        • Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts PICU, 1 shift peds, 1 shift burn (for peds).
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Respiratory failure, dehydration, seizures, suicide attempts, Ods, poisoning.
          • Additional Details
          • BLS, PALS.
          • Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates.
          • CERNER IS REQUIRED.
          • NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS.
